lyrics
I drop a line, from time to time
More like in a blue moon
Some crumb— a bit of shared nostalgia
Like recalling a tune
We trade hellos every once in a while
More like in a blue moon
What’s new, same old, you know…
Remember when we used to sing
Happy Birthday over Unsolved Mysteries
Didn’t really make it seem
Any less obscene
How’s the weather in Tennessee?
I can picture all the greenery.
Appreciate the little things…
I speak my mind from time to time
More like in a blue moon
Some dumb— criticism will haunt me
Like recalling a tune
And then, of course I’ll smooth things over
More like in a blue moon
What’s new, same old, you know…
Remember when we used to sing
Happy Birthday over Unsolved Mysteries
Didn’t really make it seem
Any less obscene
How’s the weather in Tennessee?
I can picture all the greenery
Appreciate the little things…
It takes its lack of seriousness seriously in the best kind of way--brilliant, unpredictable choices for this outstanding artist to cover with the likes of Roseanne Cash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, etc. All this Indiana gem is missing is a Jann Browne cover... Jake Stebner
May be my favorite Mike Adams album. Its concise, tight and exhilarating. The songs are consistently in my head. Mike should be more well known than he is. I don't know who is better at writing hooks than him. Amazing album. Matthew Novak
